2025 - Basic Analysis and Conceptual Understanding
The main focus at this stage is to conduct a literature review and in-depth conceptual analysis of basic issues in IT Services, IT Investment & Productivity Paradox, and IT Business Value.
The research is directed at understanding the relationship between IT investment and productivity, which often shows a paradox, as well as exploring the approach of IT services in generating added business value. This stage is an important foundation for formulating a systematic and theoretical framework for value creation in the IT context.
2026 - Model and Framework Development
Once conceptual understanding is gained, the research focus shifts to developing frameworks and models based on the initial empirical findings. Models are developed to structurally explain how IT services can contribute to IT business value creation, and to identify factors that strengthen or weaken the relationship between IT investment and productivity (Productivity Paradox). This development will consider a multi-level approach between organization, technology, and process.
2027 - Innovation with Emerging Technologies
The developed model and framework were then tested using empirical data reflecting the integration of emerging technologies, including the adoption of cloud computing, AI-driven services, and automation.
Empirical tests were conducted through field studies, organizational surveys, and exploration of innovative IT service practices. The aim is to evaluate how much technology innovation can strengthen the relationship between IT investment and business value, and mitigate the risk of the productivity paradox.
2028 - Optimization with New Technologies
The model is refined and optimized to be more responsive to the changing dynamics of technology and business needs. Adjustments are made by adopting the latest technology and expanding the scope of model implementation to various industry sectors.
This optimization emphasizes the strategic role of IT Services as a link between technology investment and the achievement of measurable and sustainable business value.
2029 - Holistic Implementation and Strategic Evaluation
The final focus of this roadmap is the holistic implementation and strategic evaluation of the IT Value Creation model across sectors and functions. The evaluation is conducted by measuring the effectiveness of the model in reducing the gap between IT investment and actual productivity in the organization, as well as evaluating the role of IT services in supporting technology-based strategic decisions. The results of this stage are expected to produce a model that is academically tested and applicable, able to provide concrete guidance for organizations in maximizing the value of IT investment.
